My name is Peggy Sinclair. I am the founder of Run By The Dogs! When I was laid off my job of 20 years I decided to turn my passion into my work. Although my work has been in the legal field, I have trained and volunteered for years with the SPCA and United Animal Nations. I am a Foster Dog Parent, an Emergency Animal Disaster Rescue Volunteer, FEMA certified to go into Disaster Zones, trained in Animal Handling, Animal Enrichment, Behavior Problems, and Adoption Counseling (SPCA).
Many people treat their Dogs as members of their family as do I. I never liked going out of town and having to leave my Dogs and I have found that many people feel this way. With my service your Dog can stay in the comfort of his/her own home and still get the attention he/she deserves. I will keep your Dog in his/her regular routine without stress. I board in my home but conditions do apply. I will not keep more than one client’s Dog in my home at a time.
The services I offer include but are not limited to:
- Daily Dog Walking
- Dog Sitting (Feed, Water, Play, Exercise, Medicate, etc.)
- Shuttle service to Vet, Groomer, or Play Dates
- Quick Check when you are working late and need your Dog let out
- Clean up Poop in yard and Pet Area in house
- Secure your Home (alternating lights, blinds, TV on/off, bring in newspaper, mail, water plants, etc.)
- Boarding in my home (conditions apply)
I do require an in-home consultation before Pet Sitting services begin. This allows me to meet Owner and Dog and allows Owner to see interaction between myself and Owner’s Dog. There is no charge for this consultation. If Owner employs my services, we will continue the consultation with the following:
- Owner will execute an Emergency Vet Release
- Owner will complete Questionnaire
- Owner will complete Questionnaire for Dog
- Owner will provide copies of Dog’s shot records
- Owner will provide house key and/or gate key (if Dog is outside)
